PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds)
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an online multiplayer game developed by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Korean publisher Krafton. It was released in December 2017 for Microsoft Windows, followed by a release on Xbox One.
The objective of the game is to be the last player standing; the winner of the match is the last player alive. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. Players start with no gear beyond customized clothing choices, which do not affect gameplay. Once they land, players can search buildings, ghost towns, and other sites for weapons, vehicles, armor, and other equipment. These items are found in loot crates in buildings or in supply airdrops that are called in by players who use them The available safe area of the game’s map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.”
Players can also choose to play either solo or in groups of up to four people; if they die during a match they can respawn at a certain point after a certain amount of time has passed. The last person or team standing wins the round.
The game has no single-player mode: all gameplay takes place online against other players.
Did you know that there are four maps in BATTLEGROUNDS, and each one of them is a playable location where you’ll be pitted against your enemies?
The maps include Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. In any given game on these maps, a red zone will appear in random areas and cause explosions within the area. A C-130 also occasionally flies over to conduct an airdrop.
