(2018). It differs from Black Ops 4 in that it encourages the accumulation of a new in-game currency called Cash rather than relying on equippable gadgets. There are two main game modes in Warzone: Battle Royale and Plunder wherein It can support up to 150 players in a single match, which is larger than the typical size of 100 players seen in other battle royal games. Some limited-time modes can accommodate up to 200 players.
There are non-playable areas in Warzone, which means it becomes contaminated with a yellow gas that causes depleting health and eventually kills the player if they do not leave that area or return to a safe playable area. Warzone puts a greater emphasis on vehicles and introduces a new in-game currency mechanic. One of the best in Warzone is that when it comes to parachuting it is unrestricted, with the player able to open and close their parachute as many times as they want while in the air. The game supported trios, duos, and four-player squads at launch, with the option to disable squad filling.

Sledgehammer Games developed a first-person shooter video game that is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows. The game takes place during World War II wherein Vanguard establishes a storyline featuring the birth of special forces to face an emerging threat at the end of the war. The game was announced on August 19th, 2021, and it was released on November 5th, 2021.
Vanguard gameplays allow the player to mount wielded weapons to flat surfaces, interact with doors, and perform takedowns. New gameplay features allow the player to use a more advanced tactical approach in combat, such as blind firing from behind cover, breaking through destructible environmental elements, or climbing walls.
Vanguard’s multiplayer mode introduces a new game mode to the series called “Champion Hill,” which replaces the mode “Gunfight,” a 2v2 arena mode previously featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. In a squad-based deathmatch, round-robin tournament, Champion Hill challenges players to survive as long as possible. This gives the player more control over the multiplayer game mode selection from the three pre-defined pacing filters that favor different playstyles.
In a chilling new Zombies experience developed by Treyarch Studios, players will also be able to test their mettle as they try to survive the relentless onslaught of the undead. The mode is considered an expansion of the Dark Aether story and serves as a prologue to the story of Black Ops Cold War. At launch, the game includes a new map called “Der Anfang,” which combines elements of round-based survival gameplay with the objective-based gameplay of Outbreak and Onslaught, both of modes were introduced in the Cold War.
